Classical Dilemma | A Poem

Classical Dilemma poem Alok Mishra

Should I?
Shouldn’t I?
The sand falls.
Pendulum swings
with passing seconds.
Lo! I lose; but should I submit
my inability to make the move?

Should I wait for the sands to fall?
Or should I respond to the call
coming from there, so near,
so close to my ailing soul?
Oh! Am I? That prince
Who couldn’t kill!
No! I am master
of my will and
I surely will!
